Paw-it-Forward: Supporting Fishtails Animal Rescue

This April’s Paw-it-Forward donation is especially close to our hearts—Fishtails Animal Rescue is how we found Lenny.

Lenny was 10, about to turn 11, when we first saw his shelter intake photo. Fishtails stepped in to help get him out of the shelter, and we reached out, hoping to foster. As many of you know, that foster quickly turned into a forever home and 4½ years of love, joy, and countless belly rubs.

On April 1st, we had to say goodbye to our sweet Lenny. In his memory, we’re honored to name Fishtails as our April Paw-it-Forward recipient.

Based in Philadelphia, PA, Fishtails is the rescue arm of Fishtown Animal Hospital and was founded by Dr. Lauren Cohn. Their mission is to rehabilitate and re-home stray and shelter animals—especially those often overlooked due to serious medical concerns. Dr. Cohn began her rescue work by pulling these “unadoptable” animals from local shelters, providing the care they needed, and finding them safe, loving foster homes and, ultimately, forever families.
